Want to Transfer Changes Between Scenarios?

If you've been tinkering with different Scenarios in Basis and are looking to apply changes from one Scenario to another, here’s what you need to know.

Understanding Scenario Independence

  • Unique Sandboxes: Each Scenario in Basis is like its own unique playground. You can experiment with various inputs, drivers, and revenue models to see how your company performs under different conditions.

  • No Automatic Transfer: Currently, there’s no feature that allows automatic updates from one Scenario to another. Each Scenario maintains its independence.

So, How Do You Make It Happen?

Manual is the Way to Go: To apply changes from one Scenario to another, you’ll need to manually make the changes you wish to see to the other Scenario.

Why It Works This Way

The idea is to ensure that each Scenario remains distinct, allowing for diverse and independent financial explorations. This manual process helps maintain the integrity and uniqueness of each Scenario.

In the future Basis may explore automated ways to transfer data across Scenarios. Let us know what you think!
